2019 Top Cryptocurrency terms according to Google Trends
This year various keywords have shown high search volume that actually defined the cryptocurrency in the year 2019.
Google trends suggest some of these keywords that represent cryptocurrency trends of 2019. The followings are these keywords or search items.
Security Token
Among these searched items is the word “Security token”. According to Google Trends, search volume for this term has ascended this year. Not only this year the search volume of this keyword has been on the rise for the last 5 years. The reason is that many new platforms have been launched this year.
CBDC
CBDC is Central Bank Digital Currency and in the second half of this year, the search volume for this keyword has risen up rapidly. China’s digital Yuan is the major development in this arena.
Facebook Libra
Facebook Libra followed a different trajectory than others. Search volume for Facebook Libra cryptocurrency surged in the month of June when it was launched. But after that, because of some regulatory issues, the interest in the Libra currency declined.
Crypto Staking
The keyword “Crypto Staking” has shown good improvement in the year 2019. Firstly, in the 2017 bull market, the masternodes word was on the rise but this word lost its importance after that.
This time the word Crypto Staking has surged in Google trends. The reason for its increased interest is Tezos cryptocurrency which has the support of Binance, Coinbase custody and Ledger live.
Crypto Lending
According to Google Trends, Crypto Lending has shown big growth this year. The search volume of Crypto Lending has been rising constantly and steading in 2019. This increase in the growth of the search volume of Crypto lending is because of the explosion of Decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol.
Stabelcoins
From the last twelve months, the search volume for Stablecoins has been increasing. This shows that the interest in Stablecoins has been growing continuously this year.
Bitcoin ETF
Google Trends states that the search volume for the keyword “Bitcoin ETF” went on the peak level in the month of April when there was a chance for a rally to $5000 but after the month of May, the search volume has been falling.
Bakkt
Bakkt shares a similar search volume trajectory with Facebook’s Libra. The searched volume spiked when Bakkt was launched but after that, as the volumes could not prove influential then the interest rate started to decrease.
