2025 Will be the Best Year Ever for Crypto, Steno Research Analysts Claim
Bitcoin and Ethereum will reach new all-time highs in 2025, analysts at Steno Research said on Tuesday. According to them, this year will be the best ever for crypto markets, marked by several positive developments.
These analysts predict that Bitcoin will cross $150,000, with Ethereum reaching $8,000 before the end of the year. In addition, they are optimistic that the most-anticipated altcoin season could start in the first quarter.
Why Steno Research Analysts Are Bullish
But what’s fueling the optimism? Steno Research analysts say that the incoming pro-crypto US government will likely create a favorable environment for digital assets, thus boosting investor confidence. Furthermore, the dovish monetary policies adopted by the Federal Reserve could lower the barriers to borrowing, allowing investors to access funds for crypto investments.
Meanwhile, Steno Research expects Ethereum and Bitcoin spot ETFs to handle massive inflows this year as traditional investors who do not want to hold crypto pour funds into these products. The company predicts that Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs will process $48 billion and $28 billion worth of net inflows, respectively.
When Does Altcoin Season Start?
According to analysts at Steno Research, the first indication of the start of the altcoin season will be when Bitcoin dominance drops from its current level of 57.12% to about 45%. For beginners, Bitcoin dominance is a metric that shows BTC’s percentage of the total market cap.
Steno Research says that Donald Trump’s administration will favor altcoins more than Bitcoin, arguing that the President-elect will focus more on promoting the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector, which is currently unavailable on Bitcoin. The firm expects the total value locked in DeFi protocols to hit $300 billion this year.
More Analysts Feel Bullish on Cryptocurrencies This Year
Besides Steno Research analysts, crypto experts at asset management Grayscale are also optimistic about crypto assets. Last month, they said that increased adoption of DeFi protocols built on blockchains like Ethereum and Solana could help the native tokens of these networks hit new all-time highs in 2025.
Additionally, Raj Brahmbhatt, the founder of Web3 settlement firm Zeebu, says the appointments of pro-crypto figures to key US agencies could fuel a marketwide rally this year.
