Crypto-Trading Rodent Gets The Attention of Elon Musk

Mr. Goxx, a hamster, is in the spotlight after showing its impressive trading performance. Apart from surprising the entire crypto community, Mr. Goxx has attracted the attention of Tesla billionaire Elon Musk, who has commended the hamster’s near-perfect trading skills. A video that showed the rat engaging in crypto trading activities was circulated, drawing different reactions from viewers.

Responding to an article posted by Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus, Elon Musk was quoted saying that the hamster-crypto trader has got ‘mad skillz.’ The hamster is named after erstwhile crypto trading platform Mt. Gox which reportedly faced the largest crypto heist of 850,000 Bitcoins valued at almost $500 million in 2014.

Hamster Achieve Success Rate of 42% in Trading

Mr. Goxx also made headlines around the world, beating long-standing mainstream investor Warren Buffett, the S&P 500, and even Ark Invest’s CEO, Cathie Wood. The hamster’s trading journey began in June with the first purchase of Stellar Lumens (XLM). Mr. Goxx has recorded a success rate of 42% since he began trading, with unrealized profits valued at 136 euros.

Its human handler, although not known, set up an office named ‘Goxx Box’ for the hamster where it can make trades anytime it wishes. Mr. Goxx Box selects a group of cryptocurrencies he intends to trade using an ‘intention wheel.’ The hamster then decides what type of trade it wants to run- whether a buy or sell trade- using two decision channels. Mr. Goxx races through any of these decision enclosures indicating the trade it intends to place. Its trading activities are live-streamed by the human handler on Twitch.

Interestingly, Mr. Goxx had bought meme cryptocurrency, Dogecoin, in July. The hamster purchased the joke token and sold it in September after being up by 46%, making it one of its most successful trades.

As reported by his human handler, Mr. Goxx began with a trading capital of €326. After placing both buy and sell orders across various crypto assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Cardano (BTC), Polkadot (DOT), the hamster is in loss of almost 8% which is about 23.78 in euros.

Hamster Token (HAM) Created After Elon Musk Releases Tweets

The circulating video shows that Mr. Goxx has adopted numerous strategies which it tries on the intention wheel before going ahead to place the trade. Meanwhile, a BSC-based token named Hamster (HAM) has been created in honour of the rodent. The token is currently trading on decentralized exchange Pancakeswap.

It has become a common phenomenon for tokens to be created when Elon Musk tweets. During the early days of Dogecoin’s promotion by the billionaire, several spin-offs were created and traded across various DEXes, particularly Pancakeswap.

After Elon Musk tweeted about getting a dog named Floki, a Dogecoin spin-off token named Floki Inu was created. Most of the tokens created are usually without value even though the original meme token has survived criticisms.
