Blockchain Association (a trade group) contains very renowned industrial entities as its members. BA PAC Launched by Blockchain Association to Back Crypto Activists in the U.S. Parties

This is an endeavor to adopt industrial trends to persuade new people emerging as the candidates who are appearing in the midterm elections to be held in November this year. The official website of the Blockchain Association notes that the platform was inaugurated in 2019. It consists of well-known industrial entities. There is a distinctive exception named Binance, which extracted its interests from the group in April.

The major goal of the association is to spread awareness among the public, policymakers, and law enforcement agencies about crypto networks as well as to highlight the requirement for clarity in regulatory instructions. Kristin Smith has ensured in a Twitter post that Blockchain Association will assist pro-crypto candidates appearing in the elections for the development of the crypto industry.

It has been revealed by Open Secret (a lobbying tracker) that Blockchain has consumed approximately $930,000 in lobbying. It has collaborated with 3 lobbying organizations to seek assistance from them. Blockchain Association’s owners, workers, and other associated people contributed approximately $104,500 to politics. Up to $8,500 has been sent by it to National Republican Congressional Committee. Legislators of both parties also got about $5,800 per head.

Crypto Community Reportedly Contributes $72.8M to the Candidates

Bloomberg shared findings of its analysis that from January 2021 to July 2022, the federal committees and candidates have received up to $72.8 M from the crypto community and industry as a donation. By comparing the contribution made by the crypto industry and the other departments, the results indicate that the crypto industry’s donated amount has surpassed all the contributions made by the transportation, gas, oil, and defense sectors.

In July this year, a venture capital company named Digital Currency Group received a registration to be a lobbying group. After that in August, a registration was provided to Crypto Action Work as a firm devoted to social welfare under 501 (c)(4). The platform started advertising in diverse states as well as the District of Columbia.
