Pepsi Ventures Into The NFT Sector With New Collection

According to reports, Pepsi wants to launch 20 NFTs in India for its first ‘Pepsi Black Zero Sugar’ collection. The NFTs hosted on the Polygon blockchain will be available to users through a contest on Moj.

Meanwhile, the company’s NFT collection target is the Gen Z generation. Several elements, such as creativity, gaming, dance, music, fashion, and social media, are the inspiration behind the NFT collection, dubbed ‘Pepsi Black Zero Sugar.’

Pepsi To Launch New NFT Collection For Indians

Pepsi has announced that it will be launching NFTs in India. This is the company’s first NFT collection in the country.

Meanwhile, the design team of PepsiCo India and Timea Balo, a UK-based illustrator, painted to design 20 NFTs for the company. Various concepts served as inspiration for the creation of the collection.

These concepts are familiar to the current SWAG generation. They improve gaming, fashion, music, dance, social media, the surroundings, and creativity.

Interestingly, Pepsi is hosting a contest on the Indian-based social media platform Moj. The hashtag for the competition is #PepsiBlackEffect.

The winners of the competition will review the digital collectibles for free. The company launched a unique NFT collection following a collaboration with Timea Balo illustrator,

The NFTs are based on the company’s three central pillars: Evolution, Self-Expression, and Innovation. The Polygon blockchain will host these 20 NFTs.

Saumya Rathor, the Category lead for PepsiCo India, commented that Pepsi would continue to lead cultural evolutions across the globe and also in India. Rathor added that the company wants to transform its narratives and products.

The aim is to make the company appealing to new customers.

Pepsi’s NFT Collection Targets The Younger Generation

“Our entry into the NFT sector shows our dedication and goal to serve our Indian users. The NFT catalog will help to spread the news about the company among the younger generation,” the executive added.

Rathor noted that Pepsi ensured that its first digital collectibles resonated with youngsters. Hence, it drew inspiration from various concepts that appeal to this generation.

Meanwhile, the collection pays homage to the younger generation and is captivated by the brand idea of Pepsi Black. The younger generation is fully entrenched in the world of technology.

Hence, Pepsi sees NFTs as one avenue to interact with this generation. Moreover, NFTs are gradually gaining prominence in the digital world.

Various brands have joined the trend as a way to communicate with their customers. Also, the new NFT collection will be available on OpenSea, one of the largest marketplaces for crypto collectibles and NFTs.

There will be four variants of the NFTs, which are music-inspired, and three options per concept. Furthermore, Pepsi fans and new customers can participate in the latest contest to win these new NFTs.
