The largest cryptocurrency exchange in Brazil Mercado Bitcoin has announced to list a sports token known as Chiliz (CHZ). According to the announcement made on July 13, 2020, by Chiliz the leading blockchain fintech provider for sports, it is the first listing of Chiliz’s CHZ token on this major crypto exchange of Brazil.
Users can trade CHZ against BRL
Chiliz token will be available for trading against Brazilian real (BRL) the local currency of Brazil. After adding support for the sports token, the crypto exchange will launch the trading of CHZ on July 14, 2020. As per the official announcement, currently, the users of the Mercado Bitcoin exchange can purchase the CHZ token with the local currency BRL.
This sport-focused cryptocurrency CHZ has become the seventh digital asset to be listed on the Mercado Bitcoin exchange. The other six cryptocurrencies supported on this platform are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), the stablecoin USDC, and Litecoin (LTC). The token holders of Chiliz will be able to leverage the benefit of taking part in certain sports activities as well.

Mercado Bitcoin is currently supporting various major traditional cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum but the sports token CHZ is the first-ever utility token which has been listed on this Brazilian trading platform according to the CEO at Chiliz.net Alexandre Dreyfus.
Stating furthermore, Alexandre Dreyfus said that in some countries, people usually like to trade against fiat currencies more than trading with cryptocurrencies. Therefore, he said that the listing of CHZ on the Brazilian crypto exchange may start a fiat onramp for the coin out there in the country.
The company’s executive also claimed that they are continuously in talks with several clubs in order to make partnerships with them and they will soon declare their first partnership. The executive stated:
We have been in discussion with clubs for 18 months now and we will soon disclose our first partnerships there. Being listed on the leading Brazilian exchange allows fans to have a direct access to CHZ in order to buy their fan tokens and access to our platforms.
