Cardano Foundation CEO Says Upgrade Delays Due to Academic Approach

Cardano Foundation CEO, Frederik Gregaard recently claimed that parts of the research that the blockchain project has spent years implementing are used by various other networks. Cardano blockchain recently faced criticism from investors regarding the delay in the introduction of new features and updates.

Meanwhile, Gregaard has claimed that the slow-paced transition of the program is a badge of honor for the blockchain network. He noted that the network is boring on account of its academic approach.

He retained that the firm is boring since they are based on academic peer-reviewed papers and these papers are shared across the globe. He was speaking at the Cardano Summit in Dubai.

Cardano CEO Claims Its Research Contributes to the Progress of Humanity

Speaking on the matter, Gregaard retained that they are going to appreciate if other networks are going to use parts of a given research to create new projects.

He retained that it is going to be a matter of pride for the firm if its research is utilize in programs that are used for the good of humanity and earth. He claimed that such adoptions make blockchains more adaptable around the globe.

He further noted that the same trend is also seen with Artificial Intelligence (AI). According to him every sector that deals with data and information is using AI in different areas. He further retained that the project is one of the oldest and most boring.

He noted that the project has brought the most changes to GitHub and remained consistently online for 2000 days. He concluded by remarking that boring is good sometimes.

Voltaire Upgrade and Relevant Project Changes

Talking about the Voltaire upgrade, Gregaard claimed that the final phase of the roadmap for the blockchain is about decentralized governance. He said that the project is going to continue conducting workshops next year that will allow developers to verify, validate, and contribute to constitutional documents.

According to his statement, the blockchain is now working on the implementation of CIP-1694 and a series of forks.

He iterated that the developers are working on changing the core governance principles and execution while sticking with the original mission plan. He stated that the users will be able to see new additions such as Zk-rollups and other new features.

Cardano Blockchain as a Transaction Channel

He noted that national institutions are likely to use the Cardano blockchain outside of its utility as a transaction channel. He talked about the utility of the blockchain system for voting and international trade among other options.

Gregaard noted that the tribalism of the Cardano network is the strength of a public and permissioned network that has allowed the addition of 200,000 new non-custodial wallets during the bear market period.
