Canada-born billionaire, Elon Musk has confirmed his participation in an upcoming July event tagged ‘The B-word,’ which represents the foremost crypto asset, Bitcoin. Elon Musk will be having a talk alongside Twitter and Square Inc. founder, Jack Dorsey. The conversation, according to reports, will border on Bitcoin and viable improvements to be made on the asset and its network. The B-word event will feature other notable speakers as well.
In a tweet last week, which Elon Musk replied, Jack Dorsey had enlisted his support for the event, to. Jack had propositioned the billionaire to have a conversation with him at the event. Although Elon Musk agreed, it is not clear if the billionaire would keep to his promise courtesy of his notorious manipulative personality. Moreso, a website set up for the event did not feature the Tesla billionaire as one of the keynote speakers. So it is uncertain if Musk will really be part of the event billed to take place on July 21.
Elon Denied Role in Mining Council for Negative Influence on Crypto Market
Meanwhile, Elon Musk’s unstable personality had earned him no active role in the Bitcoin Mining Council which was put together earlier this month. He has come under severe criticism for exerting a largely negative influence on the crypto market. Last month, the billionaire’s company Tesla, had unfortunately decided that they would no longer accept Bitcoin as payment for their electric vehicles. The Bitcoin Mining Council is headed by MicroStrategy’s CEO, Michael Saylor.

Later this month, Elon Musk announced that Tesla would reinstate Bitcoin payments if the asset could be mined from a clean energy source. He had expressed concerns over the environmental hazards resulting from Bitcoin mining. Similarly, this has formed the rationale behind China’s ban on mining activities as it plans to go green by 2060. Fortunately, alternatives are being proffered to mine the asset, with some countries suggesting volcanoes and cow manure. American city, Miami plans to use its cheap nuclear energy.
While Jack Dorsey has been actively pro-Bitcoin, Elon has professed his love for meme-based token, Dogecoin, and has largely been behind its success over the past months. Dogecoin has done extremely well within a few months despite being a joke. Interestingly, the token features in the list of top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap.
Elon Musk Looking to Improve Dogecoin
However, Elon hopes to find a real use case for the token in order to sustain its growth. The SpaceX founder had hinted at replacing Bitcoin payments with Dogecoin in Tesla. Co-founders of Cardano and Ethereum, Charles Hoskinson and Vitalik Buterin, are also open to the idea of collaboration with Dogecoin. Charles had enjoined Elon to find great value for the token.
The B-word event will feature notable speakers from around the world. According to the event’s dossier, ARK’s Cathie Wood will be present there. Other speakers scheduled to be at the event are Blockstream CEO Adam Back, and former acting and deputy director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Michael Morell.
