The NFT fever has caught many celebrities and more are expected to join the list. On a weekly basis, celebrities come up with their own NFT ready to auction. This time, it is multiple award winning rapper, singer and songwriter Eminem. The rapper made the announcement on Sunday that he is set to launch his own NFT with Nifty Gateway at Shady Con.
The Detroit native also known as Slim Shady joins the growing list of popular celebrities to have launched their own NFT. The rapper was inspired by Saturday Night Lives’ short video. The rapper obviously loved what he saw and decided he wanted to launch his own NFT.
In the video, Pete Davidson was explaining what NFTs are with Eminem’s music playing in the background.
Eminem’s NFTs Come in Different Types
Eminem’s NFTs will come in 3 different types. These will all consist of animations of the highest quality and original instrumentals the rap god produced himself. The first and second type are called ‘Tools of the Trade’ and ‘still D.G.A.F’ respectively. And will be in 50 editions sold at $5000 each. Early buyers of Eminem’s NFTs get the rare opportunity of receiving a physical handprint and an autograph of the Shady Records boss.
The third NFT seems to be for Stan fans as it is called ‘stan’s revenge’, which may be making reference to Eminem’s 2000 award winning song ‘stan’ featuring Dido. Unfortunately, this type only has 1 edition to be sold to the person with the highest bid. Eminem spoke about wanting to drop something that will excite fans to want to buy that particular Stan NFT or the whole collection of NFTs. The rapper put his collecting ideas into play to come up with these NFTs. Due to his large fan base, these NFTs are expected to sell out in no time. People at Nifty Gateway have expressed their excitement and ushered Eminem into the digital market.

Apparently, the rapper has been collecting for years since the era of video cassettes. The rapper said he has been collecting since he was a little boy ranging from baseball cards to toys and even comic books. He said being an adult has not changed much about that part of him as he still collects till today. He has over the years, made attempts to recreate some of the items in his collection and he knows he is not alone.
NFT Space Keeps Growing
The growth in NFTs has been massive lately as Eminem joins a long list of celebrities and artistes to launch theirs. These celebrities range from the Brazilian football legend Pele to rapper Snoop Dogg who even called his NFT ‘a journey with the Dogg’ and made $33,000 on the first day. Others include Lindsay Lohan, Jack Dorsey and Lil Pump. These NFTs have enabled celebrities and artists get real value for their art and the market is expected to keep growing. NFTs have come to stay.
