The ‘0 Phase’ is in Process
The ‘0 phase’ of Ethereum 2.0 will be ready to launch at the beginning of 2020. The update has taken practical shape at last because there are rumors that it is a scam project and won’t come into practical shape but it happened in real-time.
New: Happy to announce the release of our Beacon Chain Eth 2.0 Testnet explorer (Alpha) at https://t.co/tlHWZDFEf1 running the @prylabs Prysm client. This is our first release and we will continue working and improving on this. Feedback welcomed, TQ.

The new Explorer is the product of Ethereum’s blockchain explorer and analytics platform, Etherscan, and came into its furnished stage with the collaboration of Prysmatic Labs client.
The Ethereum creator, Vitalik Buterin, talked about this new achievement by concluding that impossible is no more. According to Buterin:
The ethereum 2.0 pie-in-the-sky vaporware platform now has a working block explorer from [Etherscan] for its testnet.
Validators on the Sapphire Testnet
As shown on the Etherscan, there are currently about 500 active validators on the Sapphire testnet which should be in thousands number to activate the mature explorer. These numbers will be attained before the actual release of the testnet as Phase 0 will be started at the end of Q1 of 2020.
As per the Prysmatic Labs team “Built in Go and fully-open source, the network runs on an eth2 node implementation called Prysm”. And continued “To participate in the network, anyone can send 3.2 ETH from the Goerli ETH1.0 testnet into a validator deposit contract, which will queue in the user as a validator in the system. Validators participate in proposing and voting on blocks in the protocol, and the network applies rewards/penalties based on their behavior.”
The Ethereum Istanbul hard fork is going to update on Dec.7 which will bring six different changes to the current system. However, it is not updated but will solve the current facing problems. It is said that 60% of nodes are still not ready for the update.
