ImmutableX To Introduce Passport System To Onboard Web3 Gamers

ImmutableX, an Ethereum scaling system, will release the Immutable Passport in April. According to Immutable, the blockchain company behind ImmutableX, the Passport will offer an all-in-one avenue for gaming firms that want to onboard more gamers into Web3.

Immutable Passport Coming In April

After extensive research, the R&D department of ImmutableX has come up with a way to make onboarding new gamers into the Web3 ecosystem easier. In a press statement, the firm stated that its team had addressed the challenges faced by each development studio that integrates Web3 technology.

Some of the challenges include security, plug-and-play, and modes of onboarding. Meanwhile, the upcoming tool that ImmutableX will launch in April functions as a non-custodial wallet.

In addition, the tool serves as an authentication solution for users and as a gaming profile, similar to a Gamertag on Xbox or an Apple ID. Interestingly, the Passport tool does not require users to enter their passwords, indicating that the platform doesn’t retain the private keys of its users.

There is a comprehensive set of tools integrated within the Immutable Passport. Furthermore, it has a secure digital wallet that is immune to fraud and is compatible with all Web3 games and marketplaces.

In a notice, Immutable made it known that the tool will enhance the services provided by Web3 gaming companies. Also, the blockchain company said the initiative would attract a wide range of audiences.

At the same time, the tool will help maintain the security of gaming studios that embrace it. The company has guaranteed that all studios eager to utilize Immutable Passport will have access to gamers from ImmutableX.

Expansion Of Web3 Gaming

The President and co-founder of ImmutableX, Robbie Ferguson, stated that the expansion of Web3 gaming necessitates seamless onboarding, security, and compatibility across all platforms on mobile and desktop devices.

Furthermore, he explained that the recent offering from Immutable fulfills all the requirements of Web3 gaming studios. Generally, users need only sign into the system using their email to enjoy a cost-effective gaming experience.

Meanwhile, other gaming platforms are also working towards advancing the Web3 gaming economy. In November, the Tezos Foundation agreed with Unity, a game development company, to develop Web3-based games.

The partnership of the two firms facilitated the widespread utilization of Web3 gaming. As part of the agreement, Unity produced a Software Development Kit (SDK) for Tezos Foundation.

Xternity’s BETA version comprises a customized wallet, multi-chain API games, and an NFT platform.
