Lowery’s thesis compares the proof-of-work (PoW) of the Bitcoin ecosystem to deer antlers, debating that it proffers a more desirable alternative for the incoming power struggles than killer robots or destructive nuclear wars.
Part of Lowery’s recommendations in the thesis read, “if we take the metaphorical PoW cyber antlers as an example, participants will utilize energy to produce computer predictions. The victor of each round will receive network tokens as a reward and the authority to publicize the succeeding transaction block.”
By adopting this approach, the winner will acquire influence within a decentralized computer network which will be used to allocate abstract property rights, similar to playing chess in the real world. This method provides the advantage of peacefully obtaining and preserving these theoretical territories without violence.
Will Lowery’s Suggestion Affect The Crypto Industry?
Major Lowery’s suggestion of a defense strategy based on Bitcoin mining, if adopted at a massive level, would have a huge effect on the cryptocurrency industry. It would promote the widespread acceptance and adoption of virtual assets across various sectors of society.
