Microsoft has unveiled its latest generation of Surface Pro and Surface Laptop devices, branded as Copilot+ PCs. One notable addition is the Recall feature, which searches through a log of previous actions on the PC, running entirely offline to ensure privacy. This feature, along with the ability to generate images from text descriptions and drawings, demonstrates the integration of advanced AI models that operate without needing an internet connection.
Microsoft’s initiative aims to solidify its position in the PC market by leveraging Qualcomm’s energy-efficient, Arm-based chips. This move comes as Apple gains traction with its Arm-based MacBooks, which have significantly impacted the market share traditionally held by Intel.
