New Shiba-Inu Accepting Restaurant Set To Launch In Australia
A new entry to the crypto space with the launch of a new crypto authenticated restaurant, Shiba wings in Gold Coast, Australia that accepts the shiba cryptocurrency as payment.
A Restaurant That Accepts SHIB Payments
Restaurants have followed the trend of events into the Web3 and crypto space with the new integration of crypto payment methods for food and snacks purchases.
The Shiba blockchain with its cryptocurrency Shiba inu as the 15th most traded and valued cryptocurrency, has been utilized in this new crypto themed restaurant, using its native token shiba inu as a payment method.
This restaurant would have a new updated menu and marketing strategies as well as its official image as the Shiba token’s face.
A Twitter user going by the handle @shibplanet announced that a restaurant in Australia’s Gold Coast under the name Shiba wings will begin taking patrons.
He continued by saying that he had a conversation with the business’s owner about the specifics of the opening and would roll out information as time went on.
According to the tweets, this restaurant is a crypto-integrated restaurant, which was attributed to the NowPayment platform.
In addition, once the Shibarium integration is available, the restaurant will be fully linked to it. When the layer 2 upgrade is completed, the Shibarium integration will be made available and accessible. This would result in scalability, increased efficiency, low cost, and fast transaction speeds.
An Italian Based Crypto Themed Restaurant
This is not, however, the first restaurant to accept crypto shiba as payment. Shytoshi Kusama, Shiba’s lead developer, announced in February that Shiba had signed another partnership agreement with an Italian burger joint.

When the burger chain restaurant rebranded, shiba inu was chosen as their mascot.

The founders then aligned their thoughts on the subject of decentralization in the crypto way. They asked the Shiba community if they wanted to help and be a part of this journey.
They pitched this concept to Kusama, and the deal was signed.
