The world is acknowledging the worth of cryptocurrencies now more than ever. The cryptocurrency sector has witnessed potential institutional growth as various big financial services firms and asset management firms invested in the famous cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) and boosted its adoption rate.

The firm has revealed that it has enabled cryptocurrency payments for its merchants in the United States, allowing them to accept payments in crypto assets.

Over 8500 merchants of OLB Group will now be able to begin accepting various digital currencies for payment purposes, including the top-ranked cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC), the Ethereum blockchain’s Ether (ETH), DAI stablecoin, and USD Coin (USDC) stablecoin.

Small-sized businesses will accept crypto payments with the help of the point-of-sale technology of OLB Group. Merchants will accept digital currencies at the point-of-sale via the OmniSoft business management platform of the firm.

Customers can use their digital currency wallets for paying with crypto assets either via mobile phones or in-store. The leading payments gateway SecurePay, processes all of these payments involving cryptocurrencies. The role of SecurePay is to authenticate a cryptocurrency transaction, convert digital currencies into the United States Dollars (USD), and then approval of the final sale at the end.

The Coronavirus pandemic has greatly influenced this decision of OLB Group to incorporate digital currency payments as COVID-19 arose the need for contactless payments. Merchants are already accessing various options for facilitating their payments on the OmniSoft platform, and now the option of cryptocurrency is also available in the list.

Commenting on this, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OLB Group, Ronny Yakov, said that for merchants, the company’s point-of-sale tech and payment gateway belong to familiar territory. While talking about the integration of crypto payments, Ronny Yakov stated that they are still in the beginning phases of the adoption of cryptocurrencies as a payment option.
