Planet Hollywood Partners With Animoca Brands To Unveil An NFT Club In LA
Animoca Brands, a company in the digital entertainment industry, recently announced its intention to create a new club exclusively for members in Los Angeles. The club, called Club 3, is set to be a new addition to Animoca Brands’ portfolio.
A joint venture of Meta Hollywood Group and Planet Hollywood will work to introduce the club.
A New Membership NFT Club
In April 2021, Yuga Labs introduced the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), and it gained popularity within a short period. Eventually, it became the most exclusive club in the world of NFTs, much like the elite clubs in Hollywood.
Meanwhile, the new NFT club in Los Angeles aims to build on the success achieved by the Bored Ape Yacht Club. It also aims to eliminate the boundary between physical and digital memberships.
Established in 2014, Animoca Brands is a Hong Kong-based venture capital firm and software giant. Over the years, the company has acquired other firms, including Eden Games, Darewise Entertainment, and Grease Monkey Games.
In addition, the behemoth acquired Pixowl in 2018, which created The Sandbox, one of the most renowned virtual platforms contributing to the evolution of the metaverse. ClubID, a novel identification, membership, and commerce platform that will serve Meta Hollywood’s communities, is the central feature of Club 3.
The company plans to introduce a beta version in 2023. Meta Hollywood states that membership offers various advantages, including access to different facilities. However, the kind of facilities will depend on the membership type.
Also, there would be a private community chat for members to engage with one another digitally.
Sunset Boulevard, The First Club 3 Venue
By acquiring a Club 3 NFT, collectors can obtain membership on one of four tiers – Founder, Global, Social, or Corporate. The Founder Membership and Social Membership require a one-time fee of $7,500 and $2,500, respectively.
Reports reveal that Club 3 will utilize Web3 techniques, such as community votes on promotions, seasonal menus, and bonuses, which operate similarly to a DAO. However, the company has not disclosed any details about the location.
Meanwhile, Meta Hollywood announced that the first venue would be at Sunset Boulevard in 2023. According to the establishment, club 3 is set to offer karaoke rooms, bars, meeting rooms, a cocktail lounge, a restaurant, and bars for both real-world and virtual events.
Meta Hollywood plans to expand the Club 3 concept to other locations, such as Miami, Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, Japan, New York, and Paris, if it succeeds. Meanwhile, the BAYC recently completed a successful one-day TwelveFold auction, yielding an impressive $16.5 million.
About 290 NFTs were auctioned to the highest bidders.
