David Schwartz, the chief technology officer of the Ripple expressed his concern about the overall distribution of the XRP and remained very careful about what he said.
Distribution Become Doubtful
The distribution of the Ripple token becomes doubtful as an officer who is appointed at the top position in the company is concerned about its liquidation. David says that he was doing work with Ethan Beard and Evan Schwartz to make the Xspring of Ripple more independent.
He addressed the overall framework of the XRP ledger and seems more optimistic as they are seeking efficient ways to trigger the decentralization of the Xspring which is the development arm of XRP.
Lately, I’ve been working a lot on ideas for improvements to the XRP Ledger, mostly around decentralization and security and working with Ethan Beard and Evan Schwartz on what Xpring will be building.
Interledger Protocol
He stated that the motive of the company is to familiarize the Interledger protocol (ILP) with the financial institutions and the other digital money platforms to carry out the payments with a broad range of crypto ledgers. The Interledger protocol is the product that is designed by the Ripple to assist the financial departments.
The big picture strategy hasn’t changed. Work with the ILP community to position ILP as the TCP/IP of value – a neutral, simple protocol that can support any kind of value on any ledger. Work with the XRP community to position XRP as the best currency to use with ILP. They improve decentralization, reliability, security, performance and ILP interoperability
Careful Talk by Schwartz
David shared his concern over the distribution of the XRP tokens and denied to say further about this. He preferred not to say any more on this distribution and remained very careful about what he said as according to him:
…I am concerned about XRP distribution. I just have to be more careful about what I say for somewhat obvious reasons and when I can’t talk freely and honestly about something, I generally prefer not to say very much at all.
As an architect of XRP, he determined to improve the decentralization based on the poW and expand the horizon of its functions. He tweeted in reply to a tweet about Bitcoin’s Lightning network.
Layer 2 scaling is still significantly impacted by layer 1 performance. Locking up money in slow systems makes payments expensive. I was first attracted to bitcoin because I didn't want to build on top of interior layers propped by those with financial interests in them.
