A recent post taken off a newspaper in Russia, Vedomosti, said that messaging platform, Telegram is making plans to host an IPO. In the details of the post, Vedomosti said the IPO would happen in the next two years, and the firm is looking at a valuation of around $50 billion.
The news posted by another source pointed out that Telegram is hoping to kickstart things with a traditional IPO after first looking at market dynamics. That is the main factor for the IPO happening in the first place. It pointed out that after the IPO, the company would be looking at a direct listing, after which a partnership with a Special Purpose Acquisition Company would be considered.
The firm is looking at either Hong Kong SE or Nasdaq
At this present time, Telegram is said to be looking into possible best locations to conduct it. The firm would communicate this after it finishes its analysis that is being carried out at this moment. A vital source has hinted that the company has just two destinations in mind as they are looking to either one of Nasdaq or the Stock Exchange located in Hong Kong.

With the IPO scheduled to occur on or before 2023, it is estimated that the percentage of users on the platform around the region may have jumped swiftly to touch close to 50. This is judging by the over 1 billion growth that has been estimated to happen on the platform in the next two years.
