The Tezos Foundation is offering free XTZ tokens in its recently launched XTZ Faucet. Anyone can get free XTZ coins from this Tezos Foundation’s Faucet.

The faucet was launched at the beginning of this week. In order to get free coins from this faucet, you simply need to list a wallet address and then pass the captcha.

Up to 0.01 XTZ per claim

The user will receive up to 0.01 XTZ per claim from Tezos Foundation’s Faucet. A user can claim twice a day because the duration for one claim is 12 hours. This means that users can accumulate more XTZ coins. According to its website, only up to 10 users can get funds from Tezos faucet at a time.

The main purpose of this faucet is to allow developers to use XTZ tokens on the mainnet. However, the tokens that faucets usually provide are testnet tokens, not the actual tokens.

XTZ faucet is created for the testing purpose

The Tezos Foundation has itself claimed that it has created XTZ faucet for the testing purpose and also warns the users that it might change or the features and parameters of faucet in the future. Therefore, users should not depend upon the “continued availability of faucet. Though no user will get rich through this faucet’s free give-away program, but this faucet is helpful to test the cryptocurrency and its use.

However, anyone can earn a handsome amount on this platform because Tezos has a Proof-of-Stake (PoW) consensus algorithm. Other platforms are unlikely to allow users to stake their coins with the minimum requirement as Tezos is providing.
