Crypto Market Cap Drops to $187B after facing a loss of $6B
The market capitalization of cryptocurrency has decreased again as the total market cap has lost $6 billion.
The reason behind this loss is that several crypto assets have recorded a fall in their price during the last day. And after losing $6 billion value, the total market cap of cryptocurrency has decreased down to $187 billion.
Worst Performance by Major Altcoins
Major Altcoins have recorded the worst performance during the last day. Even the top altcoins could not show any gains in their price value.
Ethereum, being the 2nd ranked cryptocurrency, has lost its value over 7%. The price value of ETH after facing this loss now stands at $137 level. Ethereum’s recent Istanbul hard fork could not pull up the price value of the coin.
Along with Ethereum, Ripple has also faced a fall in its price value. The value of the coin has gone below the $0.19 mark. However, it recovered a little bit after that fall. Previously, Ripple was under $0.20 level in the year 2017. If the coin remains below this level at the end of this week, then it is expected that it may touch $0.18 mark.
Apart from this, other altcoins such as EOS and Binance Coin has also lost their value. EOS lost 8% and holds the $2.34 figure while Binance Coin has decreased by 10% within 24 hours.
Among the top cryptocurrencies, there is only one crypto asset, Tezos that has shown some gains. The price value of the coin surged by 4.5% against BTC while against the dollar it surged by 2%.
Bitcoin Dominance increases
In the bearish altcoins market, Bitcoin has managed to increase its dominance in the crypto market. The dominance of the world’s largest cryptocurrency has risen from 66.4% to 67.2%. However, the leading crypto asset has also lost its value by 2.7% on Bitstamp.
