The biggest platform for art auctions in the Philippines, Leon Gallery, recently traded its initial NFT, denoting the start of the venue’s embrace of non-fungible tokens in the conventional market of art. The effective sale deals with the Scarletbox collection with its NFT created by Jose Joya and Andre Baldovino at an auction that was conducted by Leon Gallery online from the 21st to the 23rd of October.
Leon Gallery Trades the 1st-Ever NFT from Scarletbox Collection
Scarletbox issued the Jaya x Baldovino NFT from the treasury of collection for the respective auction. Success has been achieved by Leon Gallery in conventional fine arts, antiques, as well as contemporary art-related auctions during the previous twelve years. Scarletbox, also known as a blue-chip NFT Launchpad of fine arts, intended to provide an opportunity for conventional collectors to participate in the special collection via NFTs.
Sheree Gotuaco, the founder of Scarletbox, stated that none of the present NFT collectors of Scarletbox are trading in the subordinate market and all keep the NFTs of their Founder, taking into account Imao x Imao and Joya x Baldovino. The black and white painting of Joya is merged with the turquoise and blue work of Baldovino. This work’s animation is evocative of the light folds’ touch on the water. The first release of Scarletbox’s founder’s non-fungible token was witnessed some months back comprising the works created by Abdulmari Imao and Jose Joya in collaboration with the artists’ second generation taking into account Toym Imao and Andre Baldovino.
The prominent words of Andre Baldovino were selected by Andre Baldovino and were layered with his abstract art. The subtractive method has been utilized by him to develop a fascinating merger of the respective two works. On the contrary, Toym Imao, moved toward his father’s two incomplete works and completed them in a unique aesthetic manner.
