Binance Renames Its AI NFT Generator As Bixel; Here’s Why

The phenomenal rise of artificial intelligence (AI) has completely delighted the tech world in 2023. Three remarkable creations, ChatGPT, DALL-E, and Midjourney, have been the most popular among them.

They have captivated consumers’ interest and revolutionized users’ perception of AI technology.

From Bicasso To Bixel

Following the AI sector’s rapid growth, prominent players in the crypto industry started launching products and tools related to this sector, seeking to intertwine the latest gem of the tech world with the revolutionary blockchain technology.

Notably, Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, unveiled an AI-powered NFT generator earlier this year. The innovation sparked excitement throughout the crypto ecosystem.

Following the tool’s launch, many crypto players, especially NFT creators, expressed optimism regarding its potential. However, a few remarked that the tool still needs some improvements before it can be globally adopted.

Nevertheless, Binance announced through its official Twitter handle that it has relaunched the tool. A notable part of the announcement on Wednesday was that the AI tool would no longer be recognized as Picasso.

Instead, it would be known as Bixel. While many industry players and observers were excited about the announcement, they wondered why the exchange renamed the tool. Still, Binance announced that it had made other modifications to its AI NFT generator and will reveal some of these modifications in due course.

One notable feature of Bixel is that it no longer has time constraints. Unlike previous versions, where the tool was only available for a limited time, Binance will grant users of the new tool indefinite access to it.

The firm revealed in an accompanying blog post that the AI NFT generator will be available for regular use and to all categories of users.

How Does Bixel Work?

Bixel is an innovative platform inspired by DALL-E and Midjourney. It harnesses the power of cutting-edge AI technology and offers users a simple and effective way to generate NFTs.

Intending NFT creators only need to follow simple prompts.

Bixel differs from similar tools because it allows users to create more images freely. Potential NFT creators can generate up to ten illustrations for free daily.

Bixel is also useful for experienced NFT creators. It helps NFT creators improve the quality and security of their digital collectibles.

Creators can secure the original version of their digital collectibles on the blockchain by minting them on the Binance Smart Chain (BNB). This ensures their authenticity and uniqueness.

The procedure is simple and painless, costing only 0.008 BNB, or about $2 (at the time of writing). While Bixel is open to experienced and novice creators, users must note that the platform creators have put in place specific security measures to protect the digital collectibles stored on the platform and to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory policies.

One such security measure is that users must complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements emphasized by Binance’s vigilant team. Thus, users demonstrate their commitment to ensuring a safe and trustworthy platform for one another.

During the beta launch of Bixel in March, the community’s response was enthusiastic. Some users minted 10,000 NFTs in three hours.

This large volume of minted NFTs demonstrates the immense potential and excitement surrounding this novel technology.
