BlockCard Is Set To Launch the First-Ever Litecoin-native Visa Debit Card
The first-ever Litecoin-native Visa Debit Card is going to be rolled out by BlockCard very soon. As announced by BlockCard and Litecoin founder Charlie Lee, there are around three hundred users who have signed up for this native Visa Debit Card of Litecoin. However, this is not the first time that Litecoin is trying to launch its native Visa Debit Card.
The Visa Debit Card is natively LTC
Previously, when the Litecoin Foundation tried to roll out its native visa debit card in collaboration with LitePay, it did not go well. The cryptocurrency failed to do so because LitePay could not collaborate with the foundation later on and it got out.
Now, this is the second time that Litecoin’s native Visa card is going to be launched according to the founder of Litecoin Charlie Lee. While talking about the worth of Litecoin debit card, Charlie Lee said that this is not just a cryptocurrency debit card rather it is much more than that. It is different from those cards that only show support for digital currency.
This is what he stated:
“There are other crypto debit cards available today that support Litecoin, but they only support funding with LTC. This card is natively LTC, so funds are kept in LTC until you swipe the card.”
Illustrating his point of view, Lee said that despite being the native debit card of Litecoin it would not restrict users only to a single cryptocurrency that is LTC. Instead, users will be allowed to hold and use other cryptocurrencies including the leading digital currency Bitcoin (BTC) as well. This is where the Litecoin debit card differs from others.
Litecoin Price is holding positive momentum as well
Litecoin’s native cryptocurrency LTC is doing fairly well in the cryptocurrency market in the recent few days. The eight-ranked cryptocurrency has been able to hold its positive momentum in the market. At the time of writing, the price value of LTC is trading at $57.46 with a change rate of 1.46% in 24 hours.
