The popular cryptocurrency data site CoinMarketCap usually ranks digital currencies on the basis of their price-performance but this time, it has ranked crypto assets keeping in view their market cap performance. The crypto data site has named ten best performing altcoins of Q1 of 2020 in the list.
Top ten Performing altcoins
In the list of top ten performing altcoins include OKB, Bitcoin SV (BSV), Crypto.com coin (CRO), Dash (DASH), Zcash (ZEC), LEO, Chainlink (LINK), Tezos (XTZ), XEM, and INO. These altcoins have performed well in the first quarter of 2020 by recording more gains as compared to other coins.

CoinMarketCap contacted different data partners such as Flipside Crypto, TokenInsight, and Simetri by Crypto Briefing to get their opinions regarding the ranking of these altcoins.
OKB is on the top in this list of top gainers which has recorded a huge gain of +147.25% in the first quarter. TokenInsight says that “OKEX’s buy-back & burn initiative of 700 million tokens” is the major cause behind such a huge growth of OKB.
Bitcoin SV (BSV) is the second most-performing asset as it gained +72.90% during Q1. CRO is on the third spot with +61.34% gains. Flipside crypto reports:
“Crypto.com fundamentals have increased 19.1% since the beginning of Q1, driven by a 68.1% spike in User Activity. Developer behavior and market maturity also climbed by 7.42% and 5.22% respectively.”
The tenth-ranked altcoin Tezos (XTZ) managed to enroll itself in this list of top performers. XTZ succeeded to gain +19.71% in the first quarter. However, ChainLink’s LINK token secured more gains (+25.67%) than XTZ. Other altcoins including DASH, ZEC, LEO, XEM, and INO gained by +58.47%, +27.94%, +27.38%, +11.85%, and +11.06% respectively.
In mid-March, the whole crypto market has to face the huge price crash including the leading digital coin Bitcoin and other major altcoins such as Ripple and Ethereum. However, these top ten altcoins have maintained their market cap performance in the first quarter.
