Crypto.com Announces Roll Out of MCO Visa Card Program in Canada

The pioneering payments and crypto platform, Crypto.com is going to widen its MCO Visa Card service in Canada as well after successfully ensuring expansion across Singapore in Oct 2018, the United States in July 2019, and Europe in April 2020. Canadian regulators have given a green signal to Crypto.com for rolling out its MCO Visa Card program in the country.

MCO Visa Card is coming to Canada now

Announcing the news on Thursday, May 21, 2020, the cryptocurrency payments platform Crypto.com said that the company is now preparing to roll out the MCO Visa Card program very soon in Canada after getting the regulatory approval. The MCO Visa Card is now open to the residents of Canada. They can approach and reserve their MCO Visa Cards using the Crypto.com app simply by going through a three-minute customer onboarding process including ID verification available on the app.

Customers can easily manage their card usage and transactions with the help of the Crypto.com app. With just a single tap on the app, they can also freeze or unfreeze their cards as well. Moreover, customers can buy, sell, store, send, and track their crypto assets in a secure way by using the Crypto.com app.

The company has mentioned a clear note in the blog post regarding its MCO Visa Card. The note reads:

“All MCO Visa Card transactions are denominated in fiat currency. All cryptocurrency exchanges to fiat currency take place before users may use their MCO Visa Card to transact on the Visa network. The MCO Prepaid Visa Card is issued by DC Bank. Use of the Card is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Cardholder Agreement and fee schedule, if any. ATM bank fees may apply.”

The company plans to make its card available worldwide

A few days back, the company announced to expand its MCO Visa Card service in 27 different countries including Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Iceland, and Norway.

The CEO of Crypto.com Kris Marszalek says in a statement that the company has plans in mind to make the MCO Visa Card available worldwide across different countries giving them access to enjoy its card service.
