Blockchain technology has often been described as one of the future technologies that would pave the way for ideal future projects. With that being said, an art owner on the Ethereum blockchain has just made history with his latest achievement.
Murat Pak, the award-winning artist who has racked up major accolades in 3D motion design, has beaten several other people to become the first artist to sell his blockchain works for over $1 million collectively. According to a report from an analytics website, CryptoArt.io, the artworks belonging to the artist were auctioned off, which all fetched him the total money in question.

In a congratulatory that was posted by the platform on which Pak achieved the feat, SuperRare, the platform congratulated the artist for beating various artist to the coveted record on across all platforms on the Ethereum blockchain.
CryptoArt.io is a platform that monitors the activities of artists and their artworks across major platforms on the Ethereum blockchain. The platforms monitor Ethereum based marketplaces that house arts such as Nifty Gateway, SuperRare, Async Art, and MakersPlace.
In its latest review of Paks sold artworks, CryptoArt noted that all 268 of Murat Paks works across all the platforms above have sold for a total of $1,079,382, which amounts to a total of 1,881 Ethereum. However, Pak has responded to the record in a tweet where he stated that he is very happy for achieving this feat because it is not always possible to plan for something as successful as this. Furthermore, he mentioned the part that CryptoArt has played in the success of the sales of his artworks.
Pak is chasing a PhD degree in Design and UI/UX
Taking a look at the top three highest earners across various art market place in the Ethereum blockchain, one would see that Pak is leading the pack with other artists branding pseudonyms such as Hackatao and Xcopy coming close in second and third positions respectively. Notably, Hackatao has sold various artworks for about $803,224 while Xcopy has garnered about $656,474 from the sales of various artworks.
When quizzed about the source of inspiration behind his arts, Pak said that he always draws his inspirations from music or very simple moments. He noted that most people see simple moments as something very simple, but they mean more than that to him.
“One thing that has helped me through this journey is the ideology that I have lived with as I tend to make my works very simple to the human eye but very effective,” Pak said.
Pak is currently chasing a PhD degree in Design, New Media and Interaction/UX after the completion of his previous degree in design and communication theory. With Pak currently leading the charge in terms of millionaires in the art marketplace, it is only a matter of time before other artistes join him in the milestone.
