First Feature-Length Ethereum Documentary Featuring  Vitalik Buterin Raises 1,036 ETH In Crowdfunding

The crowdfunding organized for Ethereum‘s documentary has raised 1,036 ETH within two days. The crowdfunding was created for the funding of ‘The Infinite Garden,’ which is the crypto’s feature-length documentary. The digital asset community anticipates the release of the Ethereum documentary as the industry attracts more mainstream attention. 

The highly-anticipated documentary is Ethereum’s first feature-length, and this has resulted in the large amount raised by community members to ensure its success. The world’s second-largest cryptocurrency is getting its documentary, which would feature the coin’s creator, Vitalik Buterin. 

Ethereum Fundraiser Surpasses Target

The creators of Ethereum’s documentary wanted to raise around 750 ETH for the documentary and transfer 5% of the funds to Gitcoin Grants to help with Ethereum projects. However, the funds raised surpassed 750 ETH within two days of organizing the fundraising and closed at around 1,035 ETH, which it got from over 600 people. Ethereum film shared the new development through Twitter and revealed the amount raised from the recently closed fundraiser. The handle explained that the organizers would use 984 ETH for creating the movie and transfer the remaining amount to Gitcoin Grants and Carbonfundorg.

The Ethereum documentary would be based on the decentralized nature of the cryptocurrency. The project explained that it’s a feature-length documentary that reveals the usability of Ethereum in the real world while featuring Vitalik Buterin, whose vision is to change the world. The project has been given an exclusive filming relationship by Ethereum’s creator and has started filming with Vitalik Buterin and Aya Miyaguchi, Ethereum Foundation Executive Director. Ethereum Film explained that it has started filming the duo even before organizing the fundraiser.

Chris Temple To Direct Ethereum Documentary

The project would also be working with known people in Hollywood to ensure the film’s success. Zach ingrasci and Chris Temple will direct the movie. The duo is from Optimist studios and has worked on another known documentary called ‘Five Years North.’ Other known persons include digital artist, Pplpleasr, who has worked on ‘Star Trek Beyond’ and other NFT projects to create digital art pieces.  Although the crew has started the project, many things are still ongoing, such as casting for the film. Ethereum documentary would be released by 2023, and this leaves enough time for more developments for the movie. The project’s official Twitter handle thanked the supporters for the funds raised and announced the closure of the fundraising.

The documentary could push other crypto projects into releasing documentaries to enlighten the public about the technology. Blockchain tech has continued to face notable improvements over the years. This has helped broaden the usability of the technology in real life. The documentary would help people understand the journey behind Ethereum and Vitalik Buterin’s vision in creating the decentralized platform. Ethereum has become very popular for numerous reasons, including its uses as a payment medium and an investment. Although the digital asset space has witnessed significant losses over the past few months, it attracts more users.
