Ripple has been having some tough time in the US previously, and the lawsuit drafted by the SEC is still going on, but there has emerged a shining glimmer of hope as a former US treasurer has joined forces with Ripple. The 43rd treasurer of the US, Rosa Gumataotao Rios, will join Ripple’s board of directors shortly enough. Ripple hasn’t been silent about this, too, as they have issued a statement that Rios will be the new leadership of the crypto giant who has served from 2009-2016 under President Barack Obama. Pitching in his thoughts about this decision, the CEO of Ripple had come forth with a solid belief in Rios’s ability to take Ripple into new horizons of success as she had immense success in both the public and private sectors when she served as the US treasurer.
XRP is Adamant about Bringing on a Few Changes of Roles and Leadership
Rios did comment on her new role that she will be carrying soon enough as the board member of Ripple that “Ripple is all about bringing the world of cost-effectiveness and agility together and using cryptocurrency in a legitimate and substantial way.” She also had to add that “both blockchain and crypto will be able to bring hope for the global financial systems of the tomorrow.” Analysts playing this move in their heads would argue that Rios is all about the fiat currency and centralization, but the experience that she will be bringing on the table working for Ripple can lead the crypto-giant years ahead of its game. As the CEO of the Japanese financial giant SBI group left the board after being a member for two years, Rios appointment kind of came through as SBI Ripple Asia CEO took charge.
This is not the only moving and appointing that XRP is doing as it is willing to bring Kristina Campbell as she has previously worked with fintech giants such as GreenDot, and she will be appointed as the chief financial officer for XRP bringing value to the stakeholders and new ideas to drive the future of the company. Given the current lawsuit and tough trading situations with the crypto market, it is important to make changes as this is the only way a crypto firm can survive the volatility of the crypto market.
