Fox Business Anchor Calls XRP Community A Cult
In a recent news report, Charles Gasparino, a business anchor for Fox Business studio, reportedly called the XRP community a cult following the network’s recent victory over the United States Security and exchange commission.
According to the report, Gasparino found himself in a heated argument on his Twitter page with core supporters of the Ripple Labs network, XRP token issuer, over his analysis of the recent victory XRP had against the US SEC in a lawsuit that started in 2021.
In a string of tweets, the famous TV anchor explained his tumultuous encounters with the XRP community, which he earlier called a cult, demonstrating his experience as an inevitably tedious yet exciting part of his duty. According to him, whenever he wrote or spoke in support of XRP, the supporters would love and applaud him, calling him a hero.
However, whenever he deviates and says things that are not so pleasant about the crypto network, the community would be enraged, turning him into their number one public enemy, Gasparino reported, inciting that he always gets a volatile response from the community.
The crust of Gasparino’s recent clash with the XRP supporters was reportedly based on the prolonged lawsuit the SEC filed against the platform in 2021. The case was recently closed as Ripple Labs, and XRP were declared victorious over the SEC. However, the crypto company currently faces a potential fine of about $1 billion.
XRP Community Criticize Gasparino Over His Assertions On XRP
Gasparino questioned how Ripple would be able to sort out the massive sum of money, per adventure, it was found guilty of the fine. In his tweets, he suggested that the crypto firm might have to either dilute its XRP crypto assets or make do with its cash reserves which reportedly are worth about $1 billion.
Furthermore, the Fox Business host’s tumultuous relationship with the network’s community further deteriorated when he inadvertently promoted a fraudulent scheme linked with XRP. According to the report, he attempted to explain an allegation that Ripple had dissociated from XRP, quoting the tweet as though it was from Ripple itself.
In addition, his tweet mentioned a partnership between Ripple and Coinbase and urged his Twitter followers to join the community. Shortly after, the members of the XRP community flagged the information as a scam, claiming the firm never released such information and there was no form of partnership with Coinbase.
Consequently, the criticism of Gasparino rapidly increased as many community members on Twitter criticized him. One prominent commenter was King Solomon, who pointed out that Gasparino ered by quoting a scam post in his tweet, thereby misinforming his followers. Another commentator identified as XRP_Cro argued that Ripple has never held an airdrop program for its community before; he expected Gaspirano to be better informed.
Garlinghouse Grants An Interview With Gasparino
In addition, some news outlets reported that the Fox Business anchor sprung some cold water on the recent court ruling of the high-profile lawsuit between the SEC and Ripple. Gasparino reportedly questioned whether the victorious ruling was actually a win for Ripple Labs or not.

Furthermore, Gasparino added that he is yet to gain an interview section with Garlinghouse in order to discuss the recent developments.
Responding to the Fox Business anchor’s remark, the CEO of Ripple, Garlinghouse, has sent out an invitation to Gasparino to schedule a meeting for the duo to talk about the topic in the Fox Business studio. Garlinghouse claimed that it would be pathetic to consider the victory of Ripple over the SEC as a partial victory.
The CEO claimed that Ripple had a deserving victory as he emerged the winner in the case on numerous fronts. He also claimed his assertion was not only supported by Ripple’s legal team alone but by many versed legal experts that commented on the recent development.
