The XRP Ledger-powered cryptocurrency wallet and trading platform GateHub has announced to support the Spark token (FXRP) the native token of the Flare Networks which is the partner of the blockchain payments network Ripple. Users of the GateHub wallet will now be able to access the Spark token (a token that represents XRP on the Flare network).
Support for Flare Networks and Spark token
Known as a multi-digital currency wallet, GateHub was launched in November 2014 by the UK-based company GateHub limited. Initially, it only had support for Ripple’s native digital currency XRP and allowed users to trade and store only XRP at that time. But later on, it added support for various other digital assets including the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market Cap Bitcoin (BTC), the second-ranked digital currency Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), and some others while allowing users to store and trade these assets.
Now, the UK-based wallet has added support for the native token of Ripple’s partner Flare Networks as well. Users of the GateHub wallet will be allowed to trade the Spark token against cryptocurrencies as well as fiat currencies. They can also withdraw, deposit, and claim FXRP tokens as well.
While commenting on this collaboration, the CEO and Founder of GateHub Enej Pungerčar said that he is really excited about this and said:
“Super excited on this one!!! Also looking forward to working with @FlareNetworks to bring Spark IOU’s on #XRP ledger.”
Bringing together the XRP and ETH ecosystems
Ripple’s partner Flare Networks recently announced to integrate a trustless two-way bridge between Ethereum and Flare in an attempt to allow the XRP market to access the existing Ethereum (ETH) apps. In this way, Flare plans to bring together the XRP and Ethereum ecosystems.
According to the foundation:
“This would allow FXRP to be used trustlessly on Ethereum as well as providing a scaling platform for Ethereum tokens and applications whilst giving access to the XRP market for existing Ethereum applications. This could bring together the #XRP and #Ethereum ecosystems.”
