U.S government did impose a lot of allegations on John McAfee and other team players involved in the selling of crypto coins to investors, which they knew allegedly as proposed by the SEC that will crash defrauding the investors. Moreover, further blame was laid that John McAfee and others on his team foreseeing the crypto section of the business used social media marketing and promotions to get attention towards their manipulated altcoin, which they knew would crash, eventually earning them heaps of profit while depriving the investors of their hard-earned money. All of these elements in their entirety are still allegations, as nothing could be proved at the moment.
How did John McAfee React to these Allegations?
John McAfee couldn’t remain silent over these allegations and see the U.S government destroy his reputation bit by bit, so he took to social media and decrypted the whole set of allegations through a series of tweets. According to him, his team working beside him on crypto-oriented projects did entertain every promotion on business plans, management, and effective planning. According to John McAfee, there isn’t any way that they have known about the altcoin market crash that was about to begin. There wasn’t any data, neither an epiphany of any kind that could have alerted the lot to pull the plug on this whole thing.
In further tweets, he did explain that he and his entire team who worked on this project were paid with the coins that did crash, thus bringing the whole value to nothing. The point being here that how could he earn any profit from this so-called scam as proposed by the allegation party if all his profit too was to turn to dust? All of this has been the overhaul of the SEC’s charge on John McAfee only recently as a conspiracy to commit security fraud, and the money laundering conspiracy is also made part of these allegations now.
John McAfee’s other tweet represents the entrepreneur pleading that he continued to believe in the integrity and performance of the altcoins he did promote to the people. He continued to hold onto each and every coin even when these were crashing badly. Who knows what will become of John McAfee or the allegations present against him, but one thing is for sure: investors should do their homework before buying any type of crypto at all.
