The coronavirus pandemic that started in China and spread to other parts of the world caused chaos as people began to die and businesses began to fold up. This was due to the statewide lockdown across different countries, as most chose to move their businesses online. While online, there was little to do, and most people turned to crypto as their savior.

With things going back to normal, a nightclub in Miami has made a new update. According to the nightclub in question, E11even, it would start accepting payments in digital assets when services kick back to life in full force. In the full announcement, the company pointed out that the services that it would take crypto as payments for, mentioning tables, drinks alongside merchandise, and other services.

The nightclub will partner with an unnamed exchange

In the statement, the company said that judging by the massive adoption that crypto has seen, that was one of the reasons why it considers adding it as a payment option. The firm also mentioned that another factor that pushed them was the clarion call for crypto and tech by the Mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez.

Suarez has over the years been an outspoken Bitcoin enthusiast, with the mayor previously flirting with the idea of paying government workers around the region with leading digital asset, Bitcoin. The CEO of the nightclub, Dennis DeGori, mentioned that the company has always felt the need to push ahead of the trend curve, and they believe that crypto is the next best thing, hence the move.

Crypto adoption in Miami skyrockets

A post taken from the Miami Herald mentioned that the firm had been deliberating on the development as a reopening move after it was forced to close down last year. The paper also said that it is something nice and expected as most people around the country now own a form of crypto or another. The CEO pointed out that their clients span from all over the world and most of them are well versed in the digital space.

“Our clients have been bugging us that they want to pay for services using digital assets for some years now. We believe that nightclubs would start adopting crypto payment options, and we want to be the one that would kickstart that into existence,” Gino LoPinto said.

Miami has seen crypto-related activities skyrocket over the last few months as Mayor Suarez has continued his vision to make the state the crypto capital of the world. Even though the United States has not rolled out a regulation to check the state’s activities, crypto holders are hoping that they roll out a favorable one in the future.
