Minecraft Server to Halt Bitcoin Earning Feature Citing Mojang Ruling
Satlantis is a Minecraft server that allows players to earn Bitcoins. The Minecraft server has recently announced that it is going to halt Bitcoin payments after Mojang, the developer of the game ordained it.
This network is an independent Minecraft server that runs as a fan service. One of the features of this server was its play-to-earn feature. However, on account of latest policy changes, the creator has demanded that the payments for the players should be halted.
David Dineno, the founder of Satlantis posted on his Discord that the new changes have been implemented on account of new directive issued by Mojang. He pointed out that the game has also halted its Bitcoin payments feature that was allowing the players to earn Bitcoin.
Dineno has confirmed play-to-earn feature will be removed soon. He asked the players to remove their satoshis from the server.
Minecraft Developers Bringing Bitcoin Earning Feature in a New Game
Denino noted in his recent post that the decision is not a good one. However, he retained that Satlantis is going to keep moving forward. At the same time, the developers have also hinted that they are going to create another game where the Bitcoin payments feature will be revived.
He noted that a game that distributes its profits with players works well. He further noted that the time, effort, and money that they have put in the game will not go away on account of new policy changes.
He added that they are planning shift the Satlantis community that safeguards innovation and does not make sudden administrative changes. The game has also claimed that it will keep offering BTC withdrawals.
He also talked about offering a port feature to the players that will allow them to transfer their earnings, player statuses, and in-game items to a new gaming portal.
Minecraft’s Bitcoin Payments Rule
Dineno expressed his bitterness about the matter maintaining that the game had to comply with the orders. He said that in case of non-compliant Mojang said that their server IP will be blocked and they will have to face a cease-and-desist action on hosting.
Satlantis is going to remain active but without Bitcoin payments. The gaming platform has allowed 2300 players to earn around $26,450 in Bitcoins rewards.
Dineno claimed that some of the players reached out to him and told him that the earnings have helped them. He told media that these messages have helped him continuing to build more things. He revealed that Satlantis team has been working on an alternative gaming platform since receiving the news about Bitcoin payments. He announced that they will announce the news sooner than later.
