NBA Hall Of Famer Scottie Pippen’s NFT Collection Gets Sold Out In 77secs After Its Launch

National Basketball Association (NBA), Hall of Fame winner Scottie Pippen, has now included his name as one of the most popular celebrities to go into the non-fungible token (NFT) world. This week, Scottie Pippen released an NFT project that went on to record a sold-out status in just 77 seconds after launch.

The NFT collection comprises a thousand unique NFT sneakers that can only be used in the metaverse, and the sneakers were inspired by the “Scottie Pippen SP33” collection. Each of the sneakers sold for a mint price of 0.2 ETH or $241.

The most popular NFT marketplace in the world, OpenSea, released new data, which shows that the Scottie Pippen NFT project reached a floor price of 0.42 ETH, equivalent to $507. Furthermore, based on current data, the project reached a total of 211 ETH or $255,000 in trading volume.

Additional Benefits

NBA star Scottie Pippen has not only launched his debut NFT project but will also allow fans to get other benefits from him. His team will organize a competition among holders, and those selected will get extra benefits, namely 33 physical pairs of shoes.

Additionally, two holders of the NFT collection will have the opportunity to play against Scottie Pippen in a golf game. But only one winner will be selected to go on a tour in Pippen’s hometown and have dinner with the NBA star.

Similarly, Orange Comet, a Web3 entertainment firm, built an NFT collection for Sir Anthony Hopkins, and the project was sold out in seven minutes. This record is good depending on the company that handles the launch and other collaborators involved in creating the NFT collections.

A Good Sign

Like Anthony Hopkins’s NFT collection, Scottie Pippen’s NFT project was created with the help of Orange Comet. According to the Web3 entertainment firm’s chief executive, Dave Broome, selling out the NFT collection in 77 secs is a good way to close the year.

Dave Broome also revealed that the success of the NFT project is a good sign that enough effort was put into its creation. It is worth noting that Scottie Pippen’s NFT project is the first digital wearables created by Orange Comet.
