Pizza Hut Restaurants In Venezuela Now Support Crypto Payments

Cryptocurrencies especially the world’s two largest digital currencies Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are widely being used as a payment method all across the whole world. The trend for the usage of digital assets as a form of payment method is not stopping rather it is increasing at a rapid pace. Cryptocurrencies now will be used for buying foods in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela thanks to the courtesy of the famous American restaurant company Pizza Hut.

Venezuelans Can Use Bitcoin to Pay for their Food

All of the Pizza Hut restaurants in the republic of Venezuela have now started supporting cryptocurrency payments according to a tweet shared by the cryptocurrency services company CryptoBuyer on the 27th of November. As per the tweet, the United States-based pizza chain has signed a partnership agreement with CryptoBuyer in a bid to make it possible for the residents of Venezuela to use digital currencies as a payment method while buying their foods.

Venezuelans can now use Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dash (DASH), the native digital token of Cryptobuyer XPT, Binance Coin (BNB), Litecoin (LTC), Tether (USDT), Binance USD (BUSD), and Dai (DAI) for making their food orders on Pizza Hut restaurants. There are different branches of Pizza Hut available at various locations such as Barquisimeto, Caracas, Maracaibo, and Maracay.

While sharing this news via Twitter, CryptoBuyer stated:

“We continue to grow and work to expand your payment options in #Cryptocurrencies. We are happy to announce our most recent alliance with #PizzaHutVenezuela From today you can share with your family and pay with #Bitcoin #XPT #Dash #CryptobuyerPay”

While talking about this move made by Pizza Hut in an interview with the local media news agency ElAxioma, the General Director of Pizza Hut for Venezuelan operations Richard ElKhouri said that the usage of technology has increased nowadays and it has become important for those who have mobile devices to make use of advanced technologies in their routine life.

“Today Pizza Hut is trying to go hand in hand with technological innovation, with the support of what technology offers every day to be able to maintain ourselves and evolve in the market.” Adding more to it, he said, “it is important that we accommodate young people, modern adults, and people technologically knowledgeable.”

A significant move for driving the adoption of cryptocurrencies

It is a significant move made in the favor of cryptocurrencies as it will further boost their adoption in Venezuela. Cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ether, Dash, Litecoin, and Tether are already being used in the republic of Venezuela across 20,000 different shops and enterprises thanks to the partnership between Cryptobuyer and Mega Soft made earlier this year.
