Polygon Labs president Ryan Wyatt announced on Friday that he will leave his role at the end of July. Marc Boiron, the company’s Chief Legal Officer, is expected to replace him.

Wyatt was named Polygon Labs boss in February 2022. He previously served as Youtube’s Global Head of Gaming and Major League Gaming’s Vice President of Programming. Under his stewardship, Polygon was voted the top crypto Project in 2022 in an award event organized by leading media house Decrypt.

Despite the industry contagion caused by the downfall of FTX and Terra, Polygon managed to bring several top companies on board, like Starbucks, Instagram, and Reddit.

It is worth highlighting that Wyatt is not leaving Polygon. Instead, he will be the company’s advisor starting August 1.

Who is Marc Boiron?

His replacement, Boiron, is a prominent Web3 veteran. Before joining Polygon, he was the head of dYdX Trading’s legal department and also served as an advisor for Decentralized Finance projects Uniswap and Compound.

Boiron’s current role will be taken up by Rebecca Rettig. She has been serving as Polygon Labs’ chief policy officer for the last six months. Rettig previously worked as a policy officer at Aave Labs and was a board member at the fallen crypto-friendly bank Silvergate.

She also shared the news regarding her new role on Twitter. Rettig said she was pleased to serve the Polygon community in a new capacity.
