Shytoshi Kusama Tweets Shibarium Is Coming But Gives No Date

Shytoshi Kusama, the developer of Shiba Inu, has confirmed on his Twitter account that Shibarium will be out soon. However, Kusama did not give a precise date for the launch.

Shibarium was supposed to launch before the end of Q3 2022. But unfortunately, it is well past the deadline, and the layer-2 network is still under development.

However, a recent tweet from SHIB’s developer brings good news for Shiba Inu supporters. Over the weekend, Kusama announced on his Twitter page that an update was coming.

However, Kusama did not provide specifics on the update. He only informed the community that they would like the update.

A user replying to the tweet noted that this could be the Shibarium documentation and a gaming guide. The SHIB developer replied, “one project at a time.”

Nonetheless, Kusama did acknowledge that the community would launch Shibarium soon. Yet, no one is sure whether the upcoming update has anything to do with Shibarium.

The new update might be the documentation for Shiba Eternity. Kusama’s bio on Twitter states that “ShibaEternity docs is also coming.”

Besides, his Tweet added that the update was close and mentioned a “gaming guide.” Hence, the update is likely the documentation for Shiba Eternity.

Meanwhile, the community is more interested in the launch of the layer-2 network, Shibarium. However, industry analysts argue that the price of SHIB will skyrocket once the upgrade occurs.

Also, supporters believe the layer-2 network will lower transaction costs and increase speed. Shiba Inu’s layer-2 network is not the only launch the community expects. The SHIB team is also developing a stablecoin called SHI and another reward token, TREAT.

Shiba Inu Token Soars On Social Sentiment

Meanwhile, the Shiba Inu token is trading around the $0.00001200 region. However, it is more than 86.1% away from its ATH of $0.00008616 reached last October.

The SHIB community and its developers expected the price of the memecoin to increase following the Shiba Eternity Game release. Unfortunately, it was not the case.

The Shiba Eternity Game is a mobile-based fighting game released in October. The game, unveiled on October 6th, is available on iOS and Android smartphones.

Meanwhile, the game is only a subset of a broader ecosystem still under development. So, unfortunately, the game’s launch could not help the token to embark on a sustained bullish momentum.

Interestingly, the majority of cryptos have been trading in the green region. This bullish momentum also rubbed off on the SHIB token.

Furthermore, the price of the Shiba Inu token soared after completion. Elon Musk’s Twitter acquisition. His takeover of the social platform did affect not only the price of Dogecoin but also Shiba Inu.

Moreover, reports state that more than 62% of Dogecoin holders are currently profitable. This is hardly surprising, given that Musk is an ardent supporter of the meme coin
