Study Shows Netherlands Has Highest Number Of Crypto Searches

According to CryptoManiaks, the Netherlands has the highest number of crypto searches. This shows that many of the residents are interested in digital currencies.

CryptoManiaks, a crypto education platform, conducted a study lately. The study aims to rank the 100 most populous nations by their number of cryptocurrency searches.

Meanwhile, the platform used the top ten cryptocurrencies by market cap for the study. It also evaluated the total searches of the ten cryptos for each nation.

Afterward, it calculated the percentage of the searches using the country’s population. Then, it ranked each country according to this percentage.

From the result, the Netherlands emerged as number one with over 1.4 million searches monthly. This equates to 8.2% of its populace.

In addition, Turkey came out second while Germany took third position. Turkey and Germany had over 4,663,600 (5.5% of its residents) and 4,236,800 (5.1% of its residents) crypto searches, respectively.

In the Netherlands, Bitcoin received the highest number of searches. Interestingly, Dogecojn emerged in second place with over 201,000 searches each month.

Ethereum, on the other hand, had only 99,000 searches per month. This placed the coin in third place. From this result, Dogecoin had twice the number of searches Ethereum received.

A CryptoManiaks spokesperson said:

“The population of a nation allowed us to predict how interested people are in digital currencies accurately. Again, European nations dominated in the rankings. Seven European nations emerged among the top ten.”

Crypto Searches In The UK And US

Meanwhile, the spokesperson added that Dogecoin was more popular than Ethereum in several countries. Moreover, the coin had over 2 million more monthly searches globally, judging from the past year.

The United Kingdom ranked 12th on the list. The country had about 1,753,000 crypto searches, representing 2.6% of its population.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin was the most searched digital currency in the country, with over 1,310,000 searches. Furthermore, Bitcoin emerged as the crypto with the most searches compared to other cryptos.

For example, 74% of the total crypto monthly searches in the UK were related to BTC.

Ethereum, the largest altcoin by market cap, was the crypto with the subsequent highest searches. It had over 203,000 searches. Cardano’s ADA had over 106,000 searches each month.

Surprisingly, the United States took the 15th position. Meanwhile, the US had the highest number per month, with over 6,546,100 searches.

It had over 4,570,000 searches.  Dogecoin emerged as the second-highest with over 729,000 searches. Meanwhile, the leading altcoin, Ethereum, took third place with 611,000 searches.
