UK-Based Survey Shows Higher Women Participation In Crypto Investments

Since Bitcoin’s creation, being the benchmark asset, different reports have shown the wide gap between the two genders in terms of investments. In recent times, traditional investments are now attractive to women, who are starting to take major roles in the investment sector. Still, complex investments like digital assets get a significantly lower percentage of women globally.

But the new Gemini’s statistics, with 40% of UK-based crypto investors being women, there is a clear sign that the investment would see higher gender inclusiveness in the future. The new participation could be because of the accessibility of information on crypto investments. Naturally, many people shy away from cryptocurrency investments because they find them difficult to under. With Bitcoin and other cryptos becoming attractive to the average investors, changes like this would is inevitable.

UK survey participants expressed willingness to invest in crypto

The recently organized survey also gathers more information about crypto investment in the UK. The reports revealed that one-third of its participants were willing to invest in digital assets if they had more knowledge of the market. Many platforms are interested in efficiently educating people on digital asset investments by putting up educative articles and videos for new investors.

This could help in raising awareness in the digital asset sector and also promoting widespread investments. Experts envision the market growing more valuable and attractive when new investors show interest in the sector.

The new shift from the norm showed that women globally sustain some dominance in the digital asset industries. Bodies that fight for gender equality beamed that the report was a path in the right direction. The survey’s participants were 2,000 UK-based people.

Gemini also shared that the survey dated back to late 2020, meaning that 2021 could have higher percentages of female investors. Out of the 2,000 people, only slightly above 10% has had ties with crypto investments, showing that the UK market is yet to adopt digital asset investments like other developed countries.

Apart from e 40% of crypto holders being females, another data showed that women are interested in cryptocurrency, with approximately 40% demonstrating a willingness to make future investments when they get enough information about the sector.

UK’s past statistics on crypto investors showed a significant difference in male and female investors. Often times, women-only take 20% of the survey’s crypto holder, which means that women were not as interested in the digital asset, unlike now.

Although women now have considerable participation, men still have the highest monies invested. Almost 66% of investors who had holdings worth £10,000 and above were men. Men are seen heading most crypto-related firms, which shows the male gender’s interest in exploring blockchain technology. In comparison, women were higher in the percentage of holders with investments around £1,000.

Still, males dominate the sector, with some reports revealing that 90% of crypto investors being males. The statistics might change slightly, but there is still a huge likelihood that there would be a huge difference in the male to female ratio. Most crypto founders and developers are males, meaning that gender equality is still a long way to go.
