VeChain Launches Blockchain-Enabled Food Safety Solution

The COVID-19 pandemic has arisen concerns about the safety of food bringing a high demand for traceable and safe food products. Meanwhile, VeChain, one of the leading public blockchain platforms, has announced that it has launched a blockchain-enabled food safety solution on August 7, 2020, for making food safer. As per the official announcement, the blockchain food safety solution is powered by VeChain ToolChain which is a blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) platform of VeChain.

“Companies can quickly carry out concept verification at little to no lead time and experience the full potential of blockchain technology for their respective sub-sectors.”

Another benefit of using blockchain technology in the global food industry is that it will reduce the costs in the industry as well along with sorting out food’s traceability and safety problems.
