Web3-based Wallet Bitski Launching Mobile-Compatible Version and Browser Extension

Web3-based Bitski revamped its offering by introducing a mobile-compatible version to onboard more individuals. Bitski’s recent statement revealed plans to expand its user base by attracting more individuals to NFTs and Web3 through user-friendly experiences.

Bitski Upgrade Prioritizes Security and Users’ Funds Safety

The firm’s representative expressed awareness of the dramatic shift of crypto investors to portray a preference for trust and reliable platforms. The shift arises from the calamitous downfall of Terra, Celsius Network, Three Arrows Capital and FTX. The understanding is evident with Bitski prioritizing security in the browser extension and mobile wallet version.

The detailed statement conveyed on February 22 by Bitski showed that the lead Web3 wallet is set to launch an iOS-compatible mobile application. Its launch coincides with the introduction of a browser extension to enable more users to access the custody services offered to non-fungible tokens (NFT) and Web3.

Reinforcing Self-Custody Support in Wallet Activity Feed

The Wednesday statement outlined that the two interfaces will integrate features desired to make user experiences more efficient. Besides prioritizing safety and security, the recent version will have nine new features: a wallet activity feed, a decentralized application browser and self-custody support.

The upgrade targets experienced NFT collectors and creators through active engagement with features alerting them to NFT floor prices. Also, the upgrade will enable the NFTs collectors and token holders to retain visibility of their holdings in the wallet.

Upgrading Interfaces to Attract Users

Bitski chief executive Donnie Dinch lauded the latest upgrades to the firm’s wallet. He added that the upgrade would make Bitski appealing to more users. The firm’s founder added that the advanced Web3 would attract users, particularly for its digestible interface.

Dinch observed that the NFTs upgrade made the platform yield excitement, particularly for the supporting technology and improved user experiences. The resulting integration made the digital ownership idea enabling.

The executive lauded developers’ input for shipping features that made the interfaces human readable. The shipped features will facilitate the users to realize safe experiences when navigating the web3 platform.

Upgrade Eliminates Barriers that Yielded Complicated Seed Phrases

Dinch admitted that Bitski has previously prioritized removing the barriers confronting web3 wallets. Failure to overcome such barriers made the self-custody suffer complicated seed phrases and the inability to decipher the on-chain data.

Eliminating the hindrances makes the activity feed more exciting by allowing the non-crypto natives to monitor their on-chain transactions clearly and intuitively.

Expansive Scope to Support Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Compatible Chains

Dinch revealed that Bitski offered seamless support for Polygon sidechain and Ethereum. He added that the upgrades yielded the capability for the wallet to offer expansive support for Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) compatible chains.

Meanwhile, Dinch is optimistic that the upgrade will enable Bitski to regain the popularity that enabled it to raise $1.8 million in the November 2019 seed round. The fundraiser attracted Winklevoss twins, Coinbase and Galaxy Digital.

Bitski would later leverage the NFT hype to raise $19 million in a Series A round that concluded in May 2021.

The round attracted famous rapper Jay-Z alongside the Andreessen Horowitz-led venture capital a16z. However, it is uncertain whether Dinch would tap into the popularity following the Bitski upgrade to hold another funding round.
