Yuga Labs Introduces Employee Badges For Security Reasons

Yuga Labs, known for the famous Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection, has recently revealed its plan to introduce badges that will serve as a mark of authenticity for employee accounts. These badges aim to assist users in identifying genuine Yuga Labs staff accounts and distinguishing them from counterfeit or unauthorized accounts.

Besides, the number of fake accounts defrauding crypto users has increased in the last few years.

Yuga Labs Takes Step To Stop Fake Employee Accounts

Yuga Labs will provide badges to selected employee accounts soon before deploying them to all employees. Similar to verification icons, these badges signify that these employees are associated with the NFT giant.

However, the firm noted that any opinion or comments expressed by the workers on such accounts are solely theirs and do not necessarily reflect its views as a company. Yuga Labs took to Twitter again to announce that more employees will receive the new badges within the coming weeks.

Despite this expansion, the firm stressed that its official brand accounts would remain the primary source for all official announcements.

“The distribution of these badges will continue in the upcoming weeks to include more employees. It is important to keep in mind that Yuga Labs will continue to share official announcements solely through its official accounts,” Yuga Labs tweeted.

Yuga Labs Otherside Metaverse Experience

In other news, Yuga Labs garnered attention recently with its second voyage of Otherside Meta voyage, which took place on March 25th. Four team captains from Otherside led the two-hour immersive journey, offering a captivating narrative experience.

The virtual event underscores the organization’s dedication to delivering captivating and interactive user experiences. Besides, Otherside has swiftly gained traction among gaming enthusiasts, serving as a testament to its willingness to embrace new technology.

According to reports, about 10,000 Otherdeed NFT owners participated in the second trip. The first expedition of Otherside Meta took place last July.

The trip accommodated 4,620 participants and congested the Ethereum network. Meanwhile, participants of the first trip who joined the second voyage acquired a unique Obelisk Piece associated with the entire Otherside storyline.

Last December, Greg Solano and Wylie Aronow, Yuga Labs co-founders, revealed that the firm views “Otherside” as the focal point where all their projects intersect. In April 2022, the company launched its Otherdeeds trip, revealing its ambitions for the metaverse.

At the time, the co-founders stated that Otherside would allow players to buy virtual lands and transform their existing NFTs into actual characters.
