The blockchain payments company Ripple and the United States-based digital currency exchange Coinbase Pro have moved a huge amount of XRP during the last 24 hours according to the recent data shared on Twitter by the blockchain tracker XRPL Monitor and twitter bot Whale Alert. Meanwhile, the former Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Ripple Jed McCaleb continues to dump his XRP coins as a major portion of XRP has been cashed out by the former CTO.
Ripple wires 24.2M XRP while Coinbase Pro moves 30M XRP
XRPL Monitor has reported that the San Francisco-based payments company Ripple has moved a large amount of XRP between wallets. Within the company, an amount of 24.2 million XRP worth $6,089,565 has been transferred from an unknown wallet to Ripple. The report was reported by Whale Alert as well.
It is not officially known what is the main reason behind wiring this amount of XRP. However, a Twitter user has said that the company might be looking to use these funds for hiring new members for Ripple and also for operating various company expenses.
Another major transfer of XRP was also detected by the XRPL Monitor. The US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Pro also transferred an amount of XRP larger than Ripple. An amount of 30 million XRP worth $7,632,648 was moved by Coinbase Pro during the last 24 hours. This massive amount was transferred in three transactions each consisted of 10 million XRP.
Meanwhile, the founder as well as the former CTO of Ripple Jed McCaleb has also dumped his XRP. According to the report of XRPL Monitor, the former Ripple CTO has made two transactions each consisted of 5.7 million XRP. The total amount was worth $2,902,788. Reportedly, the amount was sent from the tacostand wallet.
On the other hand, Ripple’s native digital currency XRP has finally turned bullish now. At the time of writing, the fourth-ranked cryptocurrency is trading at $0.25 with a change rate of 1.02% in 24 hours.
