The Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency and blockchain firm, Diginex has included the former Executive of UBS Group AG Chi-Won Yoon in the company by appointing him as Chairman of Asia operations.
Yoon has decades of experience
By hiring UBS Executive Chi-Won Yoon as Asia Chairman, the blockchain firm Diginex will take benefits from his extensive experience that he has in the field of financial services. During his career, he has decades of experience in investment banking, wealth management, and asset management.
Before joining Diginex firm, Chi-Won Yoon had provided his services to UBS Group AG as Vice Chairman of UBS Wealth Management. In his whole career at UBS, he held various positions such as President and CEO of UBS AG, Asia Pacific, and a member of the UBS Group Executive Board from 2009 to 2015. Mr. Yoon had also worked at Lehman Brothers in New York and Hong Kong before joining UBS. After 22 years of service at UBS, he resigned from the company last year and now he has joined the blockchain firm Diginex.

As the Chairman of Asia operations at Diginex firm, Chi-Won will try to expand the company’s financial services offerings by using his experience. In a statement, Chi-Won says that blockchain technology has the potential to grow in the future.

Chi-Won is not the only member from UBS that has been hired by Diginex, the blockchain firm also appointed the former UBS Investment Bank managing director Shane Edwards as Head of Investment Products in the month of January this year.
