Crypto YouTuber BitBoy Crypto Files A Defamation Lawsuit Against Atozy

Two well-known content creators on YouTube are moving ahead to start a legal fight around a crypto video supposedly advocating a project of cryptocurrency that turned out to be a scam. A YouTube channel, Bitboy Crypto – which was founded on the behalf of Ben Armstrong – uploads a diversity of content related to crypto news, tokens, projects, as well as trading advice. Since 2018, the channel has been operating and it comprises 1.4M subscribers.

The specialty of the channel is its crypto trade and news-related news chunks. Though the respective videos seem to provide trading advice, a disclaimer is shown by the channel noting that its owner does not count to be a professional advisor in the fields like commodities and securities trading, taxation, finance, and crypto. The content of the channel describes it to be specified for general information.

Previously, a lot of criticism has been received by Bitboy from the broad crypto community for supposedly de-tracking the viewers regarding diverse projects and tokens. Several attempts have been made by Armstrong to disprove such claims. With an event dealing with the remarks posted on the behalf of some other YouTuber on a video of BitBoy Armstrong has been compelled to move toward a legal alternative.

YouTuber Atozy Alleges Bitboy of Deceiving the Viewers

Erling Mengshoel Jr, a.k.a Atozy (the name of his YouTube channel), saw a now-deleted video on the channel of Bitboy in which there a project named Pamp network was promoted in 2020. The respective project ended up in misfortune and the investors lost their funds following the reports of a rug-pull carried out by the founders. According to the data provided by CoinGecko, The token’s value dropped from its all-time high of nearly $2.73 in 2020’s July.

At the moment of PAMP’s decline, Bitboy was revisited by Atozy and he remarked on the video that was supposedly advocating for the project that Armstrong was deceiving the viewers. In November previous year, Atozy commenced making a complete video to target Bitboy’s owner as a cheat, accusing Armstrong of dishonesty and promotion of the scam-based project.

At this, an official lawsuit was filed by Armstrong to confront Mengshoel on 12th August in the Northern District of Georgia-based District Court in the United States.
