FTX Founder Breaks Silence, Guarantees Full Refunds To All US Customers

In a phone interview on Monday, November 28th, the founder and ex-CEO of the famous crypto exchange, Sam Bankman-Fried, allayed the fears of the exchange’s US customers.

He guaranteed that every single person will get a full refund to the very last dollar. In a completely different stroke, Bankman-Fried has reportedly expressed his regret at declaring bankruptcy. According to him, he had acted in great haste.

FTX US Customers Will Receive a Full Refund

The founder and former CEO of the failed FTX crypto exchange, Sam Bankman-Fried, has made a couple of tweets and public statements since the exchange’s fatal collapse. However, his recent phone interviews with the famous crypto influencer, Tiffany Fong, are a total different ballgame.

As derived from Tiffany Fong’s Twitter page, there were two series of interviews conducted. In the first one, they talked about issues like the money laundering rumours, allegedly using the exchange’s token, FTT, as collateral, and a host of other issues.

In the second call, Sam Bankman-Fried and Tiffany Fong talked about the $8 billion hole, the allegedly improper usage of FTX client funds at Alameda Research, and so on.

On the phone call, which reportedly happened on Friday, the 11th of November, Bankman-Fried stated that although he is no longer affiliated with the exchange since his resignation as the chief executive officer, he is however guaranteeing that all FTX US users will get refunded in full.

A careful examination of the words he used even suggests a possible increase, no matter how minute, in the customer’s US funds.

As expected, his promise has been taken with no seriousness, as a large percentage of the crypto industry, if not all, genuinely believes that it is the end for FTX.

I Regret Filing For Bankruptcy- Sam Bankman-Fried

In the same vein, Sam Bankman-Fried expressed his immense regret for being too quick to file for bankruptcy. The former CEO had earlier filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which basically means that he sought help from the government to administer the affairs of the exchange and pay off its debts.

According to Bankman-Fried, the exchange will do pretty well very soon, and he will give anything to undo his previous actions.
