How to Buy SushiSwap (SUSHI): The Best Platforms to Use

Decentralized exchanges have become very popular as decentralized finance (DeFi) continues to grow. One of the major exchange platforms in this category is Sushiswap.

You can use it to swap hundreds of different token pairs within minutes without having to register or provide any personal information as is the case with centralized exchanges. It is also a platform that you can use to earn some more tokens by providing liquidity.

Sushiswap has a native token known as SUSHI, which is used as a governance token that empowers holders to make decisions on developments for the exchange. It is also used as a token for earning yields from swapping fees.

You don’t want to use it for any of these? No problem, you can also add the token to your portfolio like any other asset, and then swap it for other tokens when the price goes up. In this guide, we discuss the best platforms you can use to buy the SUSHI tokens.

Sushiswap

Sushiswap is the native token for the Sushiswap DEX, so logically, there’s no better place to buy SUSHI than on Sushiswap. Doing so is also very easy, as you can just swap without having to register or provide any personal information.

All you need is to have a web3 wallet like Metamask, Trust Wallet, etc that has ETH on it. You can then connect to the exchange and swap the ETH for SUSHI. The only downside to this is that you can only swap it against ETH, which gives very limited options.

However, this is a viable option if you’re very conscious of your security and would rather not give out your personal information during registration.

Binance

Then here comes Binance, the largest crypto exchange in the world by trading volume. You can buy and sell over 350 crypto assets on this platform using different trading pairs. SUSHI is one of such assets, and there are different ways you can buy it.

First, you can buy it using existing crypto assets in your portfolio. You can swap BTC to buy SUSHI, or use USDT instead. You can swap any amount of these two assets to buy SUSHI instantly on the swap platform of Binance.

The second option which is more complicated is to use fiat money to buy the token. This can be done using different methods such as direct bank transfer, or by using credit/debit cards to buy the token directly.

Coinbase

If you’re an absolute beginner just starting out in the crypto world, this exchange is the best option for you, and the reason is simple. It was designed with beginners in mind, which is why its user interface is very simple and easy to use.

Just like Binance, you can buy SUSHI on Coinbase using cash or by simply swapping one asset for it. However for now, the only option available is to buy it directly using the USD fiat currency.

This means you have to use direct bank transfer or your debit or credit card. It’s actually unfortunate that you can only buy with USD on Coinbase because the fees on the platform are quite high, especially for card purchase.

Bybit

For the advanced crypto exchange users, this is an option that is suitable. Bybit is a top crypto derivatives trading platform, so it has advanced features that may only be suitable for advanced traders or investors.

You can conveniently buy SUSHI on this exchange by simply swapping USDT for it. This would be a challenge for those who don’t hold any USDT yet and may be starting a new account. In this case, you’ll need to buy USDT with fiat, and then swap for SUSHI.

Unlike Coinbase, you don’t have to worry about exorbitant fees on Bybit. The fees are in the category of the lowest in the industry, like what you get on Binance.
