UK-based payment processor and cryptocurrency card providing company, Wirex is now seeking the US expansion and has taken the first step towards it by receiving a license from the State of Georgia. According to an official announcement made by Wirex on August 7, 2020, the State of Georgia Department of Banking and Finance has granted the first money transmission license to Wirex USA which will allow the company to expand its cryptocurrency services to the United States.
Wirex is bringing services to the US
The payment processor company is currently operating across 130 countries offering its services to approximately three million users and providing them the facility to buy and trade cryptocurrencies. Now, Wirex has decided to bring its cryptocurrency services to the residents of the United States and has got the license of money transmission from the Georgian state which marks the next step towards its US expansion.
After receiving the license, the firm is now permitted to serve the population of the US and can offer its top services to them by engaging the money transmission business there.
An important step towards worldwide regulatory compliance
While commenting on this achievement, Pavel Matveev, the Founder and CEO of Wirex said that this marks an important step for the company as it is committed to showing compliance to regulations all across the whole world. Matveev said:
